Tired And Sick
I blew off work this morning. I felt terrible. I was hoping that this time my boss wouldn't call me and make me come in anyway. In case of that emergency we arranged an "on-call" baby sitter, Aunt Tammi. As it turns out I was not called in. I had the whole day with Juliet. This almost made up for last week where I went three days in a row without even seeing her at all, almost made up for it.

This sitting up thing has become commonplace. It looks like she's been doing it forever. She moves from crawling position to sitting position and back again with ease. She's even starting to pull herself up to a standing position using the top of the coffee table. I caught her doing something similar in her crib a while back and didn't really think anything of it, but soon she will be pulling it off. I'm betting she will be walking very soon. I guess it's time to install all of those babyproofing gizmos. I'm kinda on the fence about some of those things. OK, I can see locking up the toxins, but it seems to me that my parent's didn't have the luxury of all of those things. It seems to me that you should be able to teach your child what not to get into. Bob & Chris are taking that approach and they seem to be successful. I hate the idea of putting the whole house under lock-down.

But, in the immortal words of the Nox, "The very young do not always do as they are told."

I guess it's time to lock down, ecch.
