Today marks Juliet's frist Halloween. We dressed her in this lovely Lobster number. It's pinkish-orange with claws and everything. We love it; Juliet hates it. Hannah and I blew off the day from work so we could take her around to everyone's houses. She visited Hannah's friend Deanna's mother's place, the Cappelli mother's house, Hannah's parents' house and made it back home in time to trick or treat for the first time. Juliet had done everything in her power to prevent herself from having to wear the costume. She ralphed on her pants so we had to swap them out with some white flowery thing that didn't match. When we got back home before Trick or Treating the pants were all dried off and ready for action. Unfortunately, Juliet's diaper had leaked and her pinkish-orange body suit was trashed. *sigh* We dressed her in her ornge pants with some non-descript onesy and put her in the "Monster In Training" T-shirt that Hannah's sister had gotten her.
As far as Trick or Treating, Finster wasn't particularly impressed with the activity. I'm sure this will change when she actually gets to eat some of the candy she retrieves. Anyway, we met up with Tammi & Steve and fam. Hannah and Juju cruised the neighborhood with Tammi & the chitlins while Steve and I were on the watch for marauding children. We encountered none. Apparently T&T gets over quite early there. Juliet was getting very cranky and needy. T&T doesn't start until after her bed time which makes it oh so much fun. Anyway, she crashed out pretty much the instant we put her down. |
