It all started while Hannah was at school. I had been assembling rings on Blue Nile for weeks. I decided that before I order the ring I should go to the mall and ensure that I am getting the best deal possible. I went to the mall and was presented with much inferior merchandise at a much higher price. So after about 20 minutes and three stores I headed home.
I got on Blue Nile and assembled my ring: 1/2 carat, D color, IF, ideal cut, set in platinum, very nice. I went to check out. Since we were going to be in Rochester I put Chuck and Rachel's address into the Ship-To address. Blue Nile came back with "If the value of your order is more than $500 then we're going to verify your shipping address with your credit card company". I went into a panic. I called to verify; they verified. Ok, so I quickly called my PSECU to add my shipping address to my card. While I'm on the phone, clicking refresh all the while so my session isn't closed, they say that they can't do it on Saturday; lovely. I cancel my order. |
