OK, no work, but week one anyway. Our morning routine had a sudden new twist. For the most part I handled Finster while Hannah handled Sony. We didn't form a routine so much as ran around putting out fires. This is too much like work, although Hannah swears that Sonja smiles already. While it seems far-fetched, I would have to agree that it certainly looks that way.
Tammi stopped in for a visit today. The kids stayed home due to the threat of illness. I took the opportunity to run to the grocery and grab some stuff.
Today was Sonja's first ped appointment. We dropped Juliet at Tammi's and ran to the doctor's office. We were running late because prepping and loading up two children is surprisingly more complicated than prepping and loading just one.
Despite getting stuck behind two trains and rush hour traffic through town we got to the office right on time, imagine that. Dr. Jeyaraj checked under the hood and everything was AOK. Sony was born 7lbs 9oz, was discharged at 7lbs 6oz, and was now 7lbs 10oz. I guess there is a positive side to this whole insatiable thing. She gained four ounces in four days.
The Sonja late-night saga continues. Although not quite so late and not so long, Sonja is still giving us the ol' witching hour thing. Did I mention that she poops 50 times a day?
Juliet seems to be warming a bit to Sony. She will come up and pat her from time to time during feeding. We're not so sure if she's patting or hitting, but it looks pretty benign.
