Today saw Sonja's first snow (not so much snow as sleet). She really enjoyed it. We didn't have a snowsuit for her so we just wrapped her in a blanket. She really enjoyed lying in the snow although her color was a bit off when we brought her back in. Actually, none of that happened. I just wanted to strike some horror.
Although we didn't actually go out into it, Juliet was fascinated by the snow, as she usually is. She was running around the sunroom saying "snow, snow". She's so cute. She was out of control today. She had several bang-ups and an Exxon Valdez incident.
It also seems, knock on wood, that Sonja may be "leveling out". After her 10:00 feeding it only took 20 minutes or so of bobbin' to get her down. We'll see how it goes after the 3:00 feeding (in progress now; I write these entries at stupid times).
Julet, on the other hand, seems to be having issues. She woke me up around 1:30. She had stripped, which is her thing when she's dying to get out of bed, and had peed in her bed. After changing her, while I was changing her bed, she escaped and hurassed Hannah into putting on a late night (or early morning) Melmo. After that she went back to bed without an issue. I guess this is some sort of expression of sibling rivalry anxiety. We're doing our best to ensure that she's not left by the wayside, but apparently we're not doing enough?
Sonja is really an amazing creature. She spends time just hanging out. She sits in the swing and takes in whatever is around her. She can't see very far but she takes it in as much as she can. I guess she getting used to life on the outside. Oh, and we theorize that she is tracking objects.
The 3:00 AM feeding just ended. It is 3:54 AM and Sony seems to be back to bed without extreme intervention. I think we're getting to a place we can manage. Good night. Juju will be up in a couple of hours and I could use some more sleep.
