Not So Busy
It was amazing. The baby didn't wake up until after 7:00. That makes it over eight hours that she slept overnight. Her sleeping patterns appear to be on a pendulum kind of cycle. Her shots wiped her out; she slept most of Friday. She then didn't sleep at all on Saturday. I was hoping that this would not be a swing back the other way. She needs to level off.

She seemed to be in a snit most of the day. I don't know how long this shot after-effect will continue (assuming that that is what it is) but I hope it ends soon. We tried to keep her amused though the use of floor time, tummy time, baby Mozart, etc., with varying success. She napped from around 11:30 until about 2:00. I think we put her into a state of shock when we woke her up though. Some of Hannah's relatives came down to see the baby. Instead of waking her up gently and letting her get used to the idea we just woke her up and handed her to Nancy. Oops, it wasn't shocking enough to awaken to a room full of people to being immediately handed to someone she didn't know seemed to overwealm her.

They didn't stay long as they had things to do, but the damage had been done. Her feeding was erratic, as it had been the whole day. When the time came she wanted nothing to do with the bottle during my two feeding attempts. Poor Hannah had to deal with it on her own. She's a trooper though. I made us a hot-sauce chicken thing for dinner. She ate in between cranks and feedings. Finally Julie went down as we were able to briefly regain our sanity.

Today is Juliet's two month birthday! Congratulations Finster!
