| I made it into work this morning. I was dog tired, but I managed to get a week's worth of work done (these people really need to make better estimates). in rescent days Hannah was frstrated by not geting anything done while Julie was miserable with her cold. Today Hannah tried a whole new approach. Instead of trying to bend the baby to her will she totally bent to Julie's. She set herself up with her phone, magazines, water bottle, etc, and stuck Julie to her breast. Hannah made her phone calls, read her magazines, watched the tube, and so forth while Julie nursed at her leisure. This approach seemed to work well. Today is the date upon which we had rescheduled our visit at John & Karen's house. John was indisposed so it was just us with Karen & Johnny Jr. The trip down took just short of an hour during almost all of which the baby slept. We got caught in some traffic but it was not too too bad. Julie was ready for her bottle as soon as the car-seat hit the floor. Johnny was less than happy to see us when we arrived. Apparently guests freak him out, but after some time he adjusted. Karen had gotten Julie a present. Johnny got all excited when he saw it (as children typically do). He was no as happy when he fond out that it was not for him. However he seemed to lose interest in it since it was for a child less than half his age group anyway. We partook of a Mexican fiesta and hung out and discussed the topics of the day. The baby seems better today than she has been. She chugged my bottle and was ready for more. She chugged Hannah's jugs and was ready for more. I guess her cold must be clearing up. Upon arriving home she went pretty much right to sleep. She slept straight through to 5:00 AM. Not bad eh? |
