| Today was the grand send off for Frank & Jen (they are moving to Rochester 5/11). This marked the first time that Ricky, Sarah, and Frankie met Juliet. Now she has finally met her immediate family in it's entirety. Julie was very well behaved. Hannah kept apologizing for Julie's behavior although I'm not sure why. She didn't fuss very much, and when she did it wasn't bad, and that's what babies do. At any rate, Julie looked very cute in a purple dress and panty combo. Those cutesy outfits, while attractive, are not very practical. It kept bunching up and making it difficult to handle her. Julie didn't care for it much either. You could almost see a look of relief on her face when Hannah put her back in a onesy. We got back home around 9:00 or so. I fed her her bottle feeding (although the directive is to have Hannah give her her evening feeding) and bobbed her off to Nappy Land. she was pretty easy to put down. I think the crowds wore her out. Baby has really been showing signs of growth, both emotionally and physically. She smiles and coos all the time these days. She also really tracks well and often. She has very good motor skills. During floor time she will totally lift her head up, hold it up, and look around. She will also scoot herself around. It's not exactly crawling as it is on her back, but I think she will be crawling relatively soon. Julie will also do the head-picking-up thing while laying in your lap. Sometimes she will do it during feeding which is not too convenient. She is also very capable of removing either the bottle from her mouth or removing her mouth from the bottle using a variety of techniques. This tends to make a mess. When sitting in your lap Juliet will actually stand up. Obviously she needs some guidance for balance but she is totally capable of lifting her body weight with her legs, over and over. She seems to be doing deep knee bends. Not bad for ten weeks eh? Geez, ten weeks already. |
