| Down The Shore (I hate that expression) | |
| This entry is being made way after the fact... This weekend Juliet had her first trip "Down the Shore". I hate that expression but it is defnintely part of the local vernacular so I will use it. Anyway, I believe that they were in North Wildwood, NJ. "They" being Hannah, Juliet, Chuck, Rachel, Paige, and Ethan. Hannah's Mom & Dad may have been there was well but I don't think so. I was working my ass off all weekend so I couldn't go. I should let Hannah put in her own descriptions but the highlights seem to have been when she was in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time and her first late night sojourn down the boardwalk. As for the ocean, they (obviously) went down to the beach. Hannah had the baby in the water sitting in the sand. Obviously the water was shallow since the baby was not washed out to sea. As they sat in the water Juju was amazed by it. Of course waves, as they often do, would wash up over Juliet. Hannah would not let the water go over her head, but Finster still got a bit freaked out by this but she apprarently handled it very well. Hannah and Rachel got a hankerin' for ice cream at some point late at night. I'm not sure exactly how it came to pass, but Baby was fussing, or awake, or maybe Hannah just didn't want to leave her alone with Chuck and the kids, Idano, but they took her with them to the board walk to get ice cream. According to the accounts I have heard, Juliet was simply amazed. Her head darted back and forth as she tried to take in all of the lights, sounds, smells, and weirdos walking around the place. I'm sure it was adorable, and I had to miss it because I was working my ass off. |
